The largest video cube in Europe by Hisense was unveiled on Schalke Day!
The largest video cube in Europe was unveiled right before the friendly match of FC Schalke 04 against Athletic Bilbao in the Veltins arena in Gelsenkirchen on 14th August. As an official premium partner of FC Schalke 04, Hisense is incredibly excited to share the big news. This state of the art video cube is unlike any you’ve ever seen before and will offer an unprecedented entertainment experience.
More than 42,400 people came to the arena to watch the friendly match and the unveiling ceremony of the new Hisense video cube. To match the biggest video cube in Europe, Hisense Germany believes that a huge sofa is a must. The 8m x 4m x 4m sofa has been an eye catcher that an abundance of fans rushed to the Hisense booth to take pictures with Schalke players.
The old cube (with 34.7sqm per side and 138.8 sqm total surface) was replaced by a miracle of technology with 76.32 sqm per side, 305.28 sqm total surface, full HD and weighing 28 tons – made by Hisense! The unveiling ceremony was called “Pixel explosion” with Schalke 04 mascot Erwin and Hisense mascot Harley, huge sofa in the arena. With a countdown together and pressing the button on the XXL Hisense remote, the video cube was on! The whole stadium was amazed at the new quality and the audience clapped enthusiastically after the greeting from China. This reaction shows that Hisense definitely reached all the fans! This has been proven by hundreds of social media comments which have been consistently positive.
To ensure wide media presence, Hisense Germany invited Sport Informations Dienst, Funke Medien Groupe, Sport 1 TV channel, Radio Emscher Lippe to participate.
